Weekend 2YO Maiden Special Wins for Swiss Yodeler!

INGLEWOOD, Calif. (April 30 and May 1, 2011) A pair of Swiss Yodeler 2-year-olds trained by Mike Harrington won maiden specials at 4 furlongs in their first starts at Hollywood Park, giving their sire an early lead on California’s 2-year-old sire list. Both races qualify for $20,000 maiden special bonuses.

On Saturday, Pend Oreille broke alertly and set all the fractions for his 2 -length score in :52.03. The April 26 colt out of Belle Michelle, by Gulch earned $39,000 for his owner Mike Harrington Trustee.

Free and Able completed the double on Sunday with a come  from behind victory in 52.29 for her nose decision as the favorite. The January 12 filly out of Embraceable Slew, by Slewdledo banked $39,000 for owners Mike Harrington Trustee, Andrew Molasky and Todd Marshall.

Both juveniles were bred in California by the Revocable Trust of Dr. Mikel C. Harrington and Patricia O. Harrington.
