April 13, 1998-Soviet Problem (Moscow Ballet – Nopro Blama by Dimaggio) delivered a chestnut filly by Arazi early Monday morning April 13, 1998 at Harris Farms Horse Division in Coalinga, CA. Both mare and foal are doing well. See her here!

Soviet Problem won 15 or 20 lifetime starts, 11 of them stakes victories, with earnings in excess of $950,000. She was second by a narrow head in the 1994 Breeders Cup Sprint. She also won 2 match races in 1994, one at Golden Gate Fields, the other at Del Mar Racetrack. She received numerous awards, including high weighted filly or mare sprinter from the Daily Racing Form (1994), California Bred horse of the year (1994), Sprinter (1994), Turf horse (1994), Champion 3 year old filly (1994), and the 1993 Valkyr Award recipient.

Soviet Problem is owned by Harris Farms, Inc. of Coalinga, California, and Donald Valpredo of Bakersfield, California. She has produced a yearling colt by Seattle Slew, named Downtown Seattle, and is scheduled to be bred in 1998 to In Excess.
