April 7, 1998-Coalinga, CAThe Harris Farms-Horse Division Internet web site (www.harrisfarms.com) has initiated its latest feature with its Do You Recognize Me? portion of the sites home page.
Do You Recognize Me? Is an innovative feature to showcase previous Harris Farm-Horse Division residents. This portion of the web site utilizes newborn foal pictures, horse arrival photographs or training photographs and displays them for the viewer to test their hand at identifying the Harris Farms graduate. These feature images are displayed, after the equine athlete has competed successfully in recent races, and it is then up to the visitor to identify the horse.
Currently featured is Mr. Doubledown, owned and bred by Cindy Olsen and Jack Retzloff, he is the winner of three 1998 stakes in a row. This now four-year-olds' photograph is shown shortly after his arrival at the Harris Farms-Horse Division. A brief history and biographical information is displayed on the horse and the viewer then can click-and-go to the complete identification page.
The Do You Recognize Me? feature allows the horseman an opportunity to test their skills at seeing potential and more importantly identifying the athlete in a farm setting. Horseman will enjoy the challenge of identifying current runners from their younger days. Recently, Miss Lawless was the feature horse on Do You Recognize Me?' She was bred in California and is owned by Jerry Frankel. Miss Lawless was showcased after winning the Bay Meadows Matron Stakes
Additionally, the Harris Farms web site has begun its Seen at the Farm feature for visitors to the Horse Farm facilities. Recent visitors Seen at the Farm are Garvan Kelly, State Assemblyman Kevin Murray and Nancy Yearsley.
